Project Description
This project will widen Kings Highway from Sandhill Boulevard to the DeSoto County line. The design and construction will replace the existing roadway with a new four-lane divided roadway, including protected turn lanes. Additional improvements include utility infrastructure upgrades, street lighting, a ten (10) foot multi-use path on the west side, and a six (6) foot pedestrian sidewalk on the east side of the roadway.

Wright Construction has begun the project, with the first phase consisting of clearing and grubbing within the right-of-way in preparation for the roadway expansion. According to the current schedule, underground utility work is expected to begin in approximately two weeks.
