Project Description
The existing pool at Port Charlotte Beach Park will be replaced with a community pool suitable for lap swimming, aerobic exercise, therapy, and other special events.
The proposed pool will be 54% larger than the existing pool (140,000 vs. 65,000 gallons) and include lap lanes. The facility will have a check-in station, locker rooms, multiple restrooms, office space, a break room, storage areas, and restrooms for the pier.

Power and water have been rerouted to the sailing center building. All permits have now been issued and earthwork has begun with cast piles and site grading on track.

Significant progress continues across the pool, equipment, and pool house areas of the project. Pool tile installation has officially begun, alongside ongoing geothermal well installation. Within the pool equipment building, MEP rough-ins remain in progress, concrete equipment pads have been completed, and epoxy flooring installation is being scheduled. Equipment setting and final hookups will follow. Soffit installation has been completed. The pool house is also advancing steadily, with Hardie siding and metal roofing both nearing completion. Drywall hang and tape finishing are currently underway, and soffit installation is close to complete. Upcoming work will focus on interior finishes, including painting and wall and floor tile installation.
