Project Description
Charlotte County has engaged Kimley-Horn and Associates to design the replacement of the Washington Loop Bridge over Prairie Creek. Originally constructed in 1961, the existing bridge has been subject to overtopping during storm events, resulting in periodic closures. The new bridge will be designed to mitigate these issues by elevating the structure to accommodate greater water volumes and higher flow velocities during flooding events.Project Location
